Solicit Opinions, Measure Performance

Date: 05/02/2017

Solicit Opinions, Measure Performance – Buyers are wise to solicit opinions about suppliers’ products, but it is most important, where possible, to measure actual suppliers’ performance. Users can provide their opinion about the delivery time and the quality of the product, but their opinion needs to be checked against other causes and available records. For example, late deliver may be caused by the carrier rather than the product supplier. Buyers need to compare records of average delivery time, quality in the form of rejects or lack thereof, and cost factors with other suppliers before placing excessive weight to the opinion of users.
