If you have not already looked at the list of articles on the American Purchasing Society website, you will be amazed to see the amount of very valuable and useful information given for anyone who buys for business or who manages a purchasing department.

These archived articles have accumulated over the course of twenty years and they represent methods used by buyers and purchasing managers to handle everyday purchasing operations and to solve the many problems that are encountered by business. The discussions apply to all businesses, from small companies to large, from profit making organizations in manufacturing and distribution to profit-making service organizations in the insurance, banking, and utility businesses. They include topics that apply to private, nonprofit, and government organizations.

To see the list and read any of the articles, go to the Society’s website at www.american-purchasing.com. From the home page, click on APS Publications and click on Articles on the drop down menu. Click on ALL Subjects and scroll down to the topic you are interested in. Then click on Search to obtain a list of articles about the same topic. Click on any of the articles for the complete discussion.

If you experience a problem that is not addressed by the topics listed or if you have a question about your particular purchasing activities, you can obtain an answer by sending your question to propurch@propurch.com. Please give as much detail as you can and allow several days for a reply. We will search our archives for the many articles that do not appear on the APS site and if none are located we will still endeavor to do further research for information to satisfy your needs. In most cases, you will receive an answer within a few days, but certain information may take longer to obtain.
