I recently completed the Certified Purchasing Professional exam and I can say that it is an experience that no buyer should pass up. I feel that my skills have sharpened upon completing the comprehensive course. Buyers hold much more authority than realized. Sure, you will have to invest some of your time and money to get into the program. You may also feel uncomfortable asking your strongest supplier contacts to vouch for you. I can say in my experience that your contacts build a deeper respect for you after they are contacted. The return on investment is too high to not consider this. The course/certification is an accomplishment that will put you ahead of your competition. If you are serious about your career then get serious and get certified.

This was a great course with detailed examples of situations to help understand the scope of the process of purchasing services for your employer that every buyer of services must take either for new buyers or experienced ones to serve as a refresher.

Business Ethics for Buyers and Sellers - I have had numerous ethics courses over my years in business and I found this course to be very thorough, and the examples were excellent exercises to follow and provide in-depth thought and analysis.

The training was excellent and it was a great course to attend. The way in which the program was structured was very unique and I really appreciate the expertise and the in-depth knowledge of Mr. R Rodrigues from Hi Fliers Academic Institute.

Fundamentals of Business Buying and Purchasing Management - WOW! I must admit that you have done an exceptional job of explaining the importance and sufficiency of each department working closely with one another for the best optimal experience.

The course, "Accounting, Finance and Cost Management for Buyers and Managers", was educational and was helpful in defining terms. The terms taught are universal and can be used by many organizations.

I just completed the course 3700 Applied Cost and Price Analysis. It was a very informative class and it teaches you that prices are largely based upon costs, so we should always be focused on the larger and underlying issues.

Managing Inventory - Maintaining the Proper Level - I now have a better understanding of inventory and how it works in different industries such as manufacturing, service, and retail. This course opened my eyes to many things that are involved with inventory such as storage costs, effects of overages and shortages, and the importance of accuracy from what's on the books to what is physically in existence.

I found this 'short' course [The Use of Terms and Conditions] to be very interesting and informative,...especially: reinforcing to me how to calculate 'annualized interest rate'; what the UCC says about missing terms; and, reminding me to avoid attaching to a PO (&/or signing) sales orders/sales order acknowledgements from suppliers.

76 Ways to Improve Purchasing Performance is an excellent and informative course that I would recommend to anyone. It is most valuable as a purchasing tool, however, all personnel who requisition materials would benefit from an understanding of true cost.

I thoroughy enjoyed it, and gleaned some valuable information as well...I not only saved the expense of traveling off-site, but also netted the tangible advantage of not having to play catch up for being away from the office.
